Ohhh Black Friday

As a college student that is usually always tight with money, I often jump at any deal that I feel will benefit me and my wallet in the short and long run. Now as yet another “Black Friday” has come and gone with all its major deals and sales I feel that “Black Friday” should be extended for the entire weekend for many reasons. With this being the major shopping day besides the no sales tax weekend, I feel extending this holiday will not only create more revenue for many stores but will also make more customers happy since the sale will be expanded from one day to three days.
If Black Friday were to extend from one day to three days it would be a giant revenue generator, even bigger than the one it is now because of a few reasons. The biggest reason to extend the sale to three days is that it will give people two more full days of shopping in which they can spend more money because of the gigantic savings be extended through the weekend, which leads to my second point. Extending this sale would make the sale go through the weekend which would promote the sale to be more accessible to consumers since Saturday and Sunday are much more convenient to most shoppers.  Having this sale for three days also would allow stores to not have to open at midnight and not deal with all the chaotic events that come with opening up at midnight, since the store would have three days to generate revenue instead just the one. The last reason for the sale to be extended is it will add more excitement to the “Black Friday” shopping extravaganza because customers would have a full three days to look forward to not just the one day, which they have to wake up at an unreasonable time to enjoy all the benefits that packed in that one day.
With my reasons being presented and discussed on why “Black Friday” should be extended. I hope this blog possibly catches the eye of a major retailer who will think about trying the 3 day “Black Friday” event instead of one day.
